Tesla price

On November 11, Tesla CEO Elon Musk sold 639,700 shares of Tesla stock, worth approximately $687 million, through his trust fund. SEC filings show that Musk sold 1.2 million shares of Tesla stock on November 12. On Friday, Tesla closed down 2.8 per cent.

COP26 closed

The 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) concluded in Glasgow, UK, on the evening of 13 March. The Conference agreed on a resolution document to reach a consensus on the rules for the implementation of the Paris Agreement.

VanEck Bitcoin ETF denied

On Friday, November 12 EST, with two days left before the approval deadline, the SEC announced its decision not to approve the listing of a spot bitcoin ETF applied for by investment manager VanEck. Industry sources say the SEC does not want any bitcoin products that go beyond the norm. The commentary said that the bitcoin futures ETF was listed last month because the SEC chairman considered the futures market to be a “regulated” area, while bitcoin and bitcoin exchanges were not.

Morningstar to reveal portfolio holding

Funds rating group Morningstar has lashed out at the Australian government over new rules requiring super funds to reveal portfolio holdings, arguing the regulation is flawed and was watered down after industry pressure. The new rules would allow the investor to see the portfolio construction of their super investment.

ASX up

The S&P/ASX200 is up today as at opening, gaining 17.90 points or 0.24% to 7,460.90 and crossing above its 20-day moving average. The top performing stocks in this index are INCITEC PIVOT LIMITED and NICKEL MINES LIMITED, up 6.73% and 5.87% respectively.
